This client provides Post-Operative care to patients who have undergone surgery. Mainly Hip and other joint replacement and the Patients case file contains full details of the operation and the subsequent care, treatment and Physio treatments given. 

These records need to be retained for several years so the very limited storage space available and where to keep these records in a safe, secure location and avoid access to unauthorised personnel was the first problem.

The second issue was that although reference back to these records is low access when required was likely to be urgent.

The solution has been provided by Digital Papers Scanning Service. As files are closed they are collected and taken to our secure scanning bureau. After Scanning each file is combined into an individual Multi Page PDF and indexed by the Patient Number. 

The PDF’s are then returned to the Client who holds them on their internal secure server. The Original Paper is securely destroyed by Digital Paper.
